Cash prizes, software bundles and access to the television industry unlike you've previously experienced. If you have made a television pilot or webseries independently, not only should you submit to the ITVFest you have to.
The ITVFest is an experience unlike any other fetival. It is a festival that deliberately focuses on the pilotmakers and celebrates what they are doing throughout the course of the festival. The ITVFest makes sure that relevant development executives and agents view your project to give you the best chance at sustained success.

To date, the ITVF has given away over $60,000 in cash prizes. The winners of each category were awarded $10,000 from Comcast and the winners of our web competition were awarded a range of $2-10,000 from Azureus.com . Additionally, winners are made available on Comcast's On-Demand platform giving pilotmakers the ability to showcase their work in the medium they intended.

At the ITVFest, we claim that creativity is paramount to production. Obviously, you always want to put your best foot forward, but pilots submitted to our festival are not all shot with unlimited budgets. In fact the average reported budget of pilots accepted into the festival is around $12,000.

In any entertainment industry scenario, in order to get recognition for your idea, you must share said idea. No matter how great your idea, if you never share it, it can never become a success. That being said, under U.S. law it is impossible to copywright an idea. However, by actually making your idea into a tangible, visible pilot, that product becomes your proof of copywright. By screening it at a festival where hundreds of people can see your work, each of those attendees become a witness to your work making it almost impossible for someone to steal your project.

Yes. The Festival will not be able to accept as Official Selections any pilots that contain copyrighted music, images, or other materials. If we have suspicions of copyright infringment, we may request waivers to prove approval of music, location or video use.

The Independent Television Festival retains no ownership rights over the show that you are trying to sell. ITVFest does however, as part of your agreement in submitting, retain the right to promote your work by broadcasting any part of the pilot submission on the air or over the Internet. In special circumstances, ITVFest is willing to waive this right, though that right must be discussed before submitting to the festival. At any time, the pilotmaker is free to make a deal with a network or production company to sell the concept or any other part of their show.

Yes and Yes. We cannot accept your submission without both a trailer and still shots.
